Today we went to visit the zoo in Irvine Park! It was so beautiful out and we had a blast!
Lukas loved the animals! Except the sheep :( they scared him lol! Not sure why, but he wasn't comfortable around them. But he was fascinated with the bigger animals. He got to see the bears, hyenas, tigers, monkeys and lemurs.
It was chow time for the hyenas when we stopped by. Visiting this place really makes me want to finish up my school and get my last degree so I can get down to business with a career in zoology or veterinary work, it's something I've always wanted to continue doing!
We went to walk in the cave, which was pretty cool! Lukas wasn't sure about it because it was dark and he had other ideas like climbing on the rocks outside, but once he went in he was fine. :)
The tigers were my favorite, of course! They are so beautiful.
Lukas wore himself out running around so much today haha.
Haylie was just ecstatic! She was so giggly and happy the entire time. I think she was wore out, too, because she fell right to sleep in the truck on the way home.
